Weather was warm and
monsoons were building, but no rain. In general, the P1 area is lower elevation than HD1, HD2, and K1,
and is somewhat drier. Predominant vegetation is Pinion and Juniper, with abundant cactus. There was a
lot of old roads and USGS drilling in the area. Overall fine vegetation in the area is sparse due to the
dryness.
Description
An unauthorized cut -off on the access road done the year before was covered with slash and is re-
vegetating nicely.
Site C — Vegetation is a little bit sparse, but it is essentially a wide spot in the road. A bit of seed and raking
would not hurt, but it will probably fill in with time without it, if not a bit slower.
Site B - Same as C. Located near the canyon rim.
Site A — The earth work is good, but the vegetation is sparse.
Action Items
Attachments
None
1 of 6
E
James Blair — DPLO Geologist
970 - 882 -6862
james_blair @blm.gov
Consider applying additional seed and raking it in, or wait longer for bond to be returned.
