G. Prevent wind uplift and damage to geosynthetic subgrade by providing <br />temporary and permanent loading and /or anchoring that will not damage <br />geosynthetic. <br />H. Minimize direct contact of equipment and personnel with geosynthetic. <br />Protect geosynthetic in areas where excessive traffic is expected with <br />geotextiles, extra geosynthetic, or other materials acceptable to Project <br />Manager, Design Engineer, and Design Engineer. <br />3.7 FIELD PANEL DEPLOYMENT <br />A. Contractor shall install field panels at locations indicated on Contractor 's <br />layout plan, as approved by Project Manager, Design Engineer, and <br />Design Engineer. <br />B. Contractor shall replace damaged (i.e., torn, twisted, or crimped) field <br />panels, or portions thereof, at no cost to Rio Grande Silver. Contractor <br />shall repair less serious damage according to Article 3.10 of this section, <br />at no cost to Rio Grande Silver. Design Engineer shall determine if <br />material is to be repaired or replaced. <br />C. Contractor shall remove damaged panels, portions of damaged panels, <br />and other geosynthetic scrap. <br />D. Contractor shall not deploy more geosynthetic field panels in one day <br />than can be seamed during the day of deployment. <br />E. Geosynthetic deployment shall proceed between ambient temperatures of <br />14 °F and 104F. Geosynthetic- placement shall not be done during any <br />precipitation, in the presence of excessive moisture (e.g., fog, rain, dew) <br />or in the presence of excessive winds, as determined by the CQA <br />Monitor. <br />F. Following the installation of the geosynthetic, an examination of the entire <br />surface shall be conducted to detect potentially harmful rocks or other <br />objects. Any such objects will be removed and the geosynthetic repaired <br />by the Contractor, at no cost to Rio Grande Silver. <br />3.8 FIELD SEAMS <br />A. Seam Layout <br />1. Seams shall be oriented parallel to the line of maximum slope, i.e., <br />oriented down, not across the slope.
