PART2 PRODUCTS <br />2. Adverse Weather Conditions <br />2.1 GEOSYNTHETIC LINER <br />Rio Grande Silver Tailings Evaporation Pond <br />August 2011 <br />b. Dry conditions, i.e., no precipitation or other excessive <br />moisture, such as fog or dew. <br />c. No excessive winds. <br />a. Do not seam if ambient temperature is below 14 °F or above <br />104 °F. <br />b. Do not seam during precipitation, in the presence of <br />excessive moisture (e.g., fog, dew), in an area of ponded <br />water, in the presence of excessive winds. <br />c. If the ambient air temperature is below 32 °F and above <br />14 °F for the entire shift, Cold Weather Seaming provisions <br />will govern. <br />The Installer will be required to perform a minimum <br />of four trial seams during the planned work shift, at <br />approximately the same time interval throughout the <br />scheduled work day. <br />ii. If the compacted soil liner is considered frozen as <br />outlined in Section 02320, the Installer must place <br />seaming boards or slip sheets when seaming. <br />Seaming boards or slip sheets shall be removed by <br />Installer. <br />A. The Geosynthetics Manufacturer, also referred to as the " Manufacturer," <br />is responsible for production of the geosynthetic components outlined in <br />this plan. Each Manufacturer must verify prior to construction that the <br />Manufacturer can produce material that meets the requirements outlined <br />in the project Specifications. <br />The geosynthetic shall be a polyethylene. The geosynthetic shall be <br />manufactured of new, first - quality resin and shall be manufactured <br />specifically for this type of application. No inclusion of reclaimed polymer is <br />acceptable. <br />B. Geosynthetic shall be manufactured from new first- quality polyethylene or <br />polypropylene resin (see Article 1 above), specifically for this project. <br />C. The resin Manufacturer shall certify each batch of raw material for the <br />following properties: <br />02620 -7 Geosynthetic Liner <br />02620 <br />
