September 2, 2011 <br />Mr. Jared Ebert, Environmental Protection Specialist <br />Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety <br />1313 Sherman Street, Room 215 <br />Denver, CO 80203 <br />RE: Notice of Intent to Prospect, File Number P- 2011 -028 <br />Dear Mr. Ebert: <br />Clear Creek County appreciates the opportunity to review the revised permit application <br />and associated documents provided by Terry Winters, Prospector, regarding the Bear <br />Hug project on South Spring Gulch Road. <br />We will be relying on the expertise of the Division's staff to assure that appropriate <br />practices are implemented in accordance with Colorado mining law and for the protection <br />of air and water resources, so the County is focusing its comments on matters of <br />importance to our local government. <br />Excavation/earth disturbing activities on the property not related to mining and not <br />covered by the above referenced Notice of Intent to Prospect, if approved, are regulated <br />by the County's Site Development Department.
