3.3.5 Disposal of Waste <br />There are no coal processing wastes or mine development wastes on site, nor will any be <br />generated by current or anticipated future activities. There were, and will be, some reclamation <br />wastes (Non -Coal Wastes) generated by demolition of facilities. These wastes were and may be <br />placed in the pits between the limits of five feet above the local, ground water table and four feet <br />below Approximate Original Contour (AOC). Ash (generated off -site at the Trigen power plant <br />in Golden) and mine waste rock is permitted for placement in Pits A (completed) and B. This <br />waste is placed five feet above the re- established local ground water table, and covered with six <br />feet of overburden spoil and two feet of topsand. <br />3.3.6 Other Reclamation <br />All facilities at the site are currently scheduled for removal, with the exception of electrical lines <br />not owned by CEC, the Permanent Dugout Pond, Permanent Sediment Pond 2, and associated <br />diversion/drainage ditches. Facilities to be demolished include the office, shop and warehouse; <br />the equipment parking lot; the sewage treatment facility; all roads; the electrical distribution <br />system (owned by CEC); the potable water system; the explosive storage facilities, and <br />monitoring wells (PAP, Section 2.05.3). <br />Pit highwalls will be graded into the pit backfill. <br />3.3.7 Water Rights and Usage <br />Two wells are permitted on the site (PAP, Section 2.03.10, page; 31). <br />9 <br />
