Sincerely,
eeei4
completing the reclamation. All aspects of reclamation must be included in the bond amount. It appears that
the recovery of the diesel mud from the bore hole, and its removal from the site, present two of the largest
reclamation cost liabilities, and it is therefore very important that they be adequately represented in the cost
estimate. Please provide cost figures for all aspects of drill hole closure and site clean -up, including the drill
hole clean -out, pick up and disposal of the tanks of recovered drill mud, and removal of the unused diesel
mud.
These are the current deficient items that require more information at this time. The adequacy responses should be
clear and complete enough to be technically adequate and to allow estimate of the bond amount, as appropriate.
Please provide your responses within 30 days. Please ensure that the responses to the Division addressing the NOI
plan are consistent with and comply with those provided to the BLM.
Once all deficiencies in the NOI have been addressed and the bond amount has been set, you will need to provide a
bond on one of the financial warranty forms found on our website. Please go to: www.mining.state.co.us / then click
on "Forms, Policies & Guidelines." From that page, click on "Mineral Exploration and Prospecting Forms," and
choose a pdf bond form. Make sure you use one that is for "prospecting on BLM land," which will be among the last
eight forms listed at the bottom of that page.
If you have questions you may reach me at the Division's Durango Field Office: 691 CR 233, Room A -2, Durango,
CO 81301; telephone: 970 - 247 -5193.
Bob Oswald
Environmental Protection Specialist
Ec: Steve Shuey, DRMS Grand Junction
James Blair, BLM Dolores (via electronic copy)
(c: \11 -08 docs \Colo Potash NOI adg02 /rco)
