Erickson, Wally
From: Stephen Guyer [csguyer @cologold.com]
Sent: Monday, August 29, 2011 10:43 AM
To: Erickson, Wally; Shuey, Steve
Cc: 'Stephen C. Fearn'; 'Michael Hegarty'; 'Jeff Fugate'
Subject: Clarifying letter - Silver Wing NOI
Attachments: 2011- 08- 27_Clarification Letter.pdf
Wally,
Attached please find a letter for the file regarding the NOI for the Silver Wing Mine. The letter states:
On August 22, 2011, Colorado Goldfields Inc. filed a Notice of Intent to Conduct
Prospecting Operations ( "NOI ") for the Silver Wing Mine located in San Juan
County, Colorado. This filing is a procedural courtesy to the Division reflecting
and reinforcing cooperation between the Division and the Company.
It is Colorado Goldfields' position that the planned work does not necessarily
require an NOI under the Mined Land Reclamation Act or under the Rules
adopted by the Mined Land Reclamation Board. However, in discussions with
Stephen C. Fearn of Colorado Goldfields both before and on the date of the NOI
submittal, you indicated that the Division would like to receive an NOI filing
since Colorado Goldfields may wish to proceed with mining activities in the
future. Therefore, Colorado Goldfields filed the NOI on August 22, 2011.
Thank you. If you have any questions or if I may be of further assistance, do not
hesitate to call me directly.
Sincerely,
Colorado Goldfields Inc.
C.
