Compliance With Mine Plan NA - Support Facilities Not On-site <br /> NA -Other NA -Special Categories Of Mining <br /> NA -Processing Waste R -Topsoil <br /> COMMENTS <br /> This was a partial inspection of the Seneca IIW Mine based on aerial photographs of the site taken by Harry <br /> Ranney and reviewed by Susan Burgmaier of DRMS. Weather conditions at the time of the flight were clear and <br /> dry. <br /> HYDROLOGIC BALANCE -Rule 4.05 <br /> ❑Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3;Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, <br /> 4.05.10;Diversions 4.05.4;Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring <br /> 4.05.13;Drainage—Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8;Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br /> Ponds 005,006, 016,and 017 all held water. The dam of Pond 016A had been breached, as approved in <br /> the Pond 016Aa slide repair plan(TR-73),but there was still a small amount of water in the pond. Stock tanks T- <br /> 5,T-18, T-20,T-26, and T-27 all held water. <br /> RE VEGETATION—Rule 4.15 <br /> ❑Vegetative Cover; Timing.- <br /> It appeared that the reclaimed areas along the MEHR, facilities area,LU-2,and topsoil stockpile I had all <br /> been seeded,based on the observation of drill lines in the soil. <br /> SLIDES and DAMAGE-Rule 4.12: <br /> Work had begun on the Pond 016A slide remediation. The first stage,cleaning out Pond 016A was <br /> underway with an excavator and truck moving sediment out of the pond and spreading it to dry on the slope <br /> northeast of the pond. <br /> The scarp of the pit ramp/shrub plot slide had been regraded. <br /> TOPSOIL—Rule 4.060 El Removal 4.06.2; Substitute Materials 4.06.4(4); Storage and Protection 4.06.3; <br /> Redistribution 4.06.4: <br /> Topsoil was being removed in advance of the Pond 016A slide repair operations.
