PERMIT #: M- 2011 -038
INSPECTOR'S INITIALS: KAP
INSPECTION DATE: August 9, 2011
OBSERVATIONS
This inspection was conducted as a pre - operational inspection for a 111 permit application. Present at the
inspection were Steve Winer, K.W. Enterprises, and Kate Pickford and Wally Erickson, DRMS.
The proposed operation is located adjacent to Hwy 160 east of Wolf Creek Pass, where Kewitt Construction
placed rock resulting from construction of the tunnel on Hwy 160 west of the site location. The material was
stockpiled along the highway as part of that operation. There were also some stockpiles of sorted material
placed to the south of the stockpile adjacent to the highway. This permit application is proposing to remove
these sorted stockpiles. One is located toward the east end of the proposed permit and the other is located at
the west end.
The operator has mentioned that he may supply material to customers in addition to CDOT, which whom he
has a contract. The operator should be aware that in order to sell any of this material to customers other
than CDOT for the designated project, the operator will need to apply for a 110c permit.
Some weeds are located at the site. The operator will need to be proactive in weed control at the site.
p age 2 of 4
