PUBLIC NOTICE <br />Trapper Mining Inc., P.O. Box 187, <br />Craig, CO 81626 (CDRMS Permit No. <br />C -81 -010, approved 12/31/07), intends <br />to request release of Phase III bond lia- <br />bility on 364.5 acres of its reclaimed <br />mine lands. A surety bond in the <br />amount of $30,173,724.00 is presently <br />in place. No reduction in the amount of <br />the bond is sought with this bond re- <br />lease application. <br />Those portions of the mine for which <br />Phase Ill bond release liability is re- <br />quested were reclaimed from 1999 to <br />2001 and have been retopsoiled, re- <br />seeded and hydrologically stabilized in <br />accordance with CDRMS regulations. <br />A perennial native grass/forb /mountain <br />shrutt.cotrimunity has been established <br />touch eve the post- mining land use of <br />rangeland. <br />This information is being proposed as <br />bond { elease request SL -13. All re- <br />views and comment periods as pro- <br />vided in the Act and Regulations prom- <br />ulgated thereunder initiate from this <br />date of filing. Trapper Mine is located <br />61/2 miles south of Craig, Colorado. The <br />specific area to which this proposed <br />bond release request applies is: <br />T5N,R91W'Portions of Sections 1 <br />. and 3. <br />T6N, R9OW Portions of Sections 30, <br />31 and 32. <br />T6N, R91W Portions of Sections 25, <br />34, anti 36. <br />The Castor Gulch USGS 7.5- minute <br />- quadrangle map contains the location <br />of the affected area. Written corn - <br />`ments or objections or requests for <br />' 'public earing or informal conference <br />concerning this bond release applica- <br />tion may be submitted to, and addi- <br />tional information obtained from, the <br />Colorado. Division of Reclamation, Min- <br />ing and Safety, 215 Centennial Bldg., <br />1313 S'ierman St., Denver CO 80203, <br />• (303) 866 -3567. The Colorado Division <br />of Rec amation, Mining and Safety <br />must receive comments within 30 days <br />of the fast publication of this notice or <br />within 30 days of the onsite inspection, <br />whichever is later.
