Dear Mr. Scott,
Please accept this request for a Temporary Cessation at the Lafarge Loveland Pit, M2000 -034. The
following has /is occurring on site in compliance with Construction Materials Rule 1, Section 1.13.2,
"Indications of Temporary Cessation."
1.13.2(1) There are no personnel working at the site for 180 consecutive days.
1.13.2(2) There are only security personnel at the site.
1.13.2(3) There are personnel other than security people at the site, but they are engaged
in activities which can be described as maintenance or housekeeping, or related
activity.
There are personnel at the site, but they are engaged in activities which are not
significantly moving the site towards completion of the mining operation.
There is no sale or processing of material or movement of stockpiled material.
There is only minimal or token excavation of construction material or other
materials.
Mine development has ceased and mining has not recommenced.

, Section 1.13.5 provides requirements the Operator is to provide as
Cessation request. The following statements satisfy these requirements.
The Reichert and Flatirons portion of the Mine were released on
October 13, 2010 via Acreage Reduction, AR -03. Minimal maintenance
and vegetation work has been completed in the western portion of the
property in 2011.
The reserve is relatively small at approximately 200,000 tons. The
market does not support opening this last phase of the Mine Permit at
this time.
Placing the reserve in "idle" status for a period of five years will secure
the reserve for a better economy.
During Cessation, Lafarge will continue to maintain and secure the site
according to the Weed Control Plan found in Exhibit E. In addition,
Lafarge has made efforts to reclaim the western portion of the property
in accordance with the Reclamation Plan. A partial release of this
western portion may be submitted in 2012.
