Flood Control Levee August 2, 1999 Page 23 <br />STATE-AGENCY OWNERSHIP <br />The levee is now owned by the University. As a state institution, it satisfies the State - agency <br />ownership requirement ofF MA. The University will own, operate, maintain, and repair the levee. <br />It will cause the levee to be modified appropriately if the base flood elevations, or the levee- <br />recognition criteria ever change in the future. It is the intent of the University that the levee will <br />continue to be reco�zd as an effective food control facility in the future. <br />OPERATION AND AIMNTENANCE PLAN <br />An operation and maintenance plan has been developed and adopted by the University. If the levee <br />is damaged during a flood, or if there is a loss of effectiveness over time, the levee will be repaired <br />according to the plan.
