Hickenlooper
Governor
Mike King
Executive Director
Loretta E. Pineda
Director
The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (DRMS) has reviewed CAM Colorado, LLC's
(CAM's) Major Site Plan Application for the Fruita Loadout project recently submitted to your
office. DRMS has the following comments on the Major Site Plan due to recent changes made
by CAM to their plans and specifications for the proposed project.
1. CAM informed DRMS on August 3'd that they are removing the construction material
borrow area, borrow area topsoil stockpile, and Pond 4 from the overall plan. This
would affect Map 1 and Figure B in the application submitted to you.
2. CAM is also planning to change the design of the bridge over Reed Wash. The change
to the design is to avoid driving piling into the immediate stream bottom. This would
affect the rail spur and loop profile cross - section shown on Map 03 of the application.
Thank you for the opportunity to comment. If I may be of further assistance please contact me at
(970) 243 -1571 or mike. boulqy@,state. co.us.
Sincerely,
m ` i7' 30
Michael P.
