There were no dust problems either.
HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05 ❑ ❑Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5,
4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water
Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Drainage — Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8;
Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18:
There was no water in the sediment pond. The primary discharge tube gate was closed. There was no
blockage at the tube's outlet or in the emergency spillway. The pond embankment was stable. The collection ditch
leading to the pond had sufficient capacity.
The hillside spring water treatment pond was discharging at about 10 gpm. The color of the discharge water was
the usual orange color, which has been found to be in compliance with receiving stream standards of the CDPHE.
The hillside spring was flowing into its constructed ditch and culvert that lead to the treatment pond. The
temperature of the spring water was 101 degrees F at a location about 10 feet below the origin point. The pond
discharges to a point close to where the former entrance gate was located. It, then, flows into a black corrugated 6
inch diameter culvert that leads to the river. Not all of the pond discharge water was flowing into the culvert that
discharges into the river, however. Some of the water was fmding its way past the black culvert inlet and into the
river along side of the culvert. The vegetation in this area was very dense and the cause could not be determined.
Once the vegetation dies back, further inspection can take place. It is not a problem, however.
The two alluvial wells were intact and both had their well caps in place. The riverside berm was in place alongside
the sediment pond collection ditch.
Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 2
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 0
COMMENTS
