The Discharge Monitoring Reports
were received by the Division on July 27, 2011. The reports cover the time period from April 1, 2011
through June 30, 2011.
Eleven CDPS outfalls discharged during the second quarter of 2011. Outfall 001 (Johnson Gulch),
Outfall 002 (No Name Gulch), Outfall 011 (East Pyeatt), and Outfall 020 (Middle Flume) discharged
throughout the quarter.
Exceedances of TSS and Iron effluent limitations occurred during the quarter at three outfalls, 002,
020, and 024. However, these exceedances were in reaction to precipitation events, and the Settleable
Solids limit (0.5 mL /L) was not exceeded.
Outfall 011, Outfall 017, and Outfall 020 were sampled for WET analyses during the quarter, and all
tests passed with LC50 exceeding 100 percent for both test species.
If you have any questions feel free to contact me at (303) 866 -3567, extension 8113.
Sincerely,
R obert Zuber, P.E.
Environmental Protection Specialist
Office of
Mined Land Reclamation
STATE OF COLORADO
COLORADO
D I V I S I O N O F
RECLAMATION
MINING
— &—
SAFETY
John W.
