Days <br />S <br />M <br />T <br />W <br />T <br />F <br />S <br />Work Shifts <br />- <br />D <br />D <br />D <br />D <br />D <br />D <br />D = Day Shift N = Night Shift <br />VLF EARTHWORKS FIELD MONITORING SUMMARY (WEEKLY REPORT) <br />Project Title: CC &V/ Phase 5 <br />Owner: Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mining Co. <br />Location: Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mine <br />Work Element: Phase 5 CQA/ VLF <br />Date: July 30, 2011 <br />Reporting Period: 7/24/11 through 7/30/11 <br />Ambient Temperature Range (F): Low: 49 °F to 54 °F ( + / -) High: 75 °F to 83 °F ( + / -) <br />AMEC CQA: Personnel On -site through the Reporting Period (See Attachment A). <br />AMES/Lonestar: Afternoon rain showers delayed work activities during the week. <br />CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES and PROGRESS: <br />ame0 <br />Project No.: 84201125E0 <br />Contractor: Ames Construction Co., Inc. <br />Shift: Day <br />I) EARTHWORKS <br />A) Subgrade Preparation <br />1) VLF <br />Subgrade shown on Figure 1 was inspected and accepted by an AMEC field representative for <br />soil liner fill placement. <br />B) Slope Contouring <br />1) VLF <br />Slope contouring performed between stations H0 +00 ( + / -) and H1 +50 ( + / -), approximately 0 to <br />200 feet right of centerline. Slope contouring was performed using various CAT dozers and a <br />CAT 312 excavator with a rock hammer attachment to remove rocks protruding from the <br />subgrade surface. Excess material generated during slope contouring was loaded into CAT 40- <br />ton articulating haul truck using a CAT 312 excavator and was hauled to an overburden storage <br />area designated by CC &V. Moisture conditioning of the subgrade surface was performed using <br />a tandem -axle water truck (when necessary). A CAT 563 vibratory smooth drum compactor <br />was used to compact subgrade surface with at least 4- passes. <br />VLF Weekly Report WE 07.30.2011 <br />
