This inspection was performed by the Division to monitor the prospecting activity carried out under this NOI.
The operator named on page one was present throughout the inspection. There are two drill sites approved
under this N01: BD -7 and BD -8, which actually replace drill sites 7 and 8 of an earlier NOI (P- 2008 -037). These
current sites were moved approximately one - quarter mile west from the earlier sites.
At drill site BD -7, drilling activity has begun, but the drill site was quiet since crews were changing shift at the
time of the inspection. The drill rig and associated equipment were set up at site BD -7. The pad area was
properly prepared by staking and limiting the cut and fill earthwork. Adequate sediment and runoff controls
were in place and functional. The hydrocarbons were properly stored with secondary containment, and no
contamination was observed. The mud pits were plastic lined, per plan requirements.
The temporary access trail to site BD -8 has been developed, but the operator stated that there is no
equipment or activity at the drill site yet. Site BD -8 was not inspected at this time.
Drilling is proceeding according to the approved plan under this NOI. No reclamation has begun yet. The
bond is deemed to be sufficient. There were no problems noted at this time.
For questions regarding this report, please contact this inspector at the Division's Durango Field Office:
DRMS — Durango Field Office
691 CR 233, Room A -2
Durango, CO 81301
Telephone 970 - 247 -5193
(There are no photos included in this report.)
Inspection Contact Address
Randy McClure
Rio Grande Silver, Inc.
PO Box 610
Creede, CO 81130
OBSERVATIONS
CC: Tom Malecek, USFS, 13308 W Hwy 160, Monte Vista, CO 81301
PERMIT #: P- 2010 -014
INSPECTOR'S INITIALS: RCO
INSPECTION DATE: July 28, 2011
