Roads:
The roads between the 3 level and the 6 level are in the permitted area. They are adequately maintained
presently, but frequent monitoring should continue since the road is steep and the material is highly erodible.
Revegetation:
There is no reclamation performed yet, and no revegetation success to report. It has been noted before that
the crest and outslope of the 6 level dump are eligible areas to perform near -term revegetation activities,
since they will not be further disturbed and are to be revegetated.
The lower portion of the access road to the mine is not within the permitted area, so this comment is for the
operator's information only: a small discrete patch of Canada thistle was observed below the lowest
switchback. Given its small size, isolation, and proximity to the road, it would be good to bring to the
attention of the landowner, for regular monitoring and prompt treatments.
For questions about this report, please contact this inspector at the Division's Durango Field Office:
DRMS
691 CR 233, Room A -2
Durango, CO 81301
Telephone: 970 - 247 -5193
Inspection Contact Address
Kye Abraham
LKA International Inc.
3724 47 St Ct NW
Gig Harbor, WA 98335
CC:
Mike Schell
Coal Creek Construction
PO Box 455
Lake City, CO 81235
Dave Lazorchak
BLM
216 N.
