Hickenlooper
Governor
Mike King
Executive Director
Loretta E. Pineda
Director
In my review of your Second Quarter 2011 Sediment Pond Inspections, I noted one inconsistency regarding sediment
accumulation in Coyote Pond. Your letter of August 5, 2011 adequately clarified this issue, and no further action is
needed on this matter.
I would suggest that your inspectors state "there has been no recent sediment accumulation" (or similar wording) rather
than state that there is minimal sediment in Coyote Pond. This will help prevent future confusion, especially if another
Environmental Protection Specialist at DRMS becomes the lead specialist at Trapper Mine.
If you have any questions feel free to contact me at (303) 866 -3567, extension 8113, or Rob.Zuber @state.co.us.
Thank you,
Robert Zuber, P.E.
Environmental Protection Specialist
Office of Office of
Mined Land Reclamation Denver - Grand Junction • Durango Active and %nacctve M\nes
