All review and comment periods as provided in the Colorado Surface Mining Reclamation Act <br />and the Rules initiate from this date of filing. <br />Bowie Resources, LLC proposes to continue underground coal mining and/or reclamation operations on land <br />located approximately 5 miles Northeast of Paonia, Colorado. The permit area is further described as follows: <br />Portions of Sections 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 9, 10, 11, 14, 15, 16, and 22, Township 13 South, Range 91 West of the 6th P.M. <br />Portions of Sections 33 and 34, Township 12 South, Range 91 West of the 6th P.M. <br />The above - mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle map of Bowie. <br />In Permit Renewal No. 3, Bowie Resources LLC is proposing to renew its underground coal mining permit at the <br />Bowie No. 2 mine for another five year term. <br />A copy of the renewal application is available for public inspection at the Paonia Public Library, 2 Third Street, <br />Paonia, CO 81428, and at the Division office.
