DOW is concerned about the triangle of land north of County Road #10 that can be seen on
Exhibit C -4 —page 1. The land in that area is clearly in the Little Snake River flood plain, and
Moffat County has no desire to mine any materials, or to store topsoil, overburden or
construction materials there. We are, however, responsible for maintaining the Government
Land Office Survey Monuments, the State Lease Boundary, and the Reclamation Permit
boundary, all of which may require some clearing to achieve a visual alignment along such
boundaries.
As you know, Moffat County has a spraying program for dealing with noxious weeds, and we
established a seed -mix formula (Exhibit E -2) with the Mined Land Reclamation Board that we
have been using successfully since 1991.
I will meet you at the County Shop at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, for our inspection of the
permitting and release requests. If you have any questions, perhaps we can resolve them on
that day.
Thanks again!
