6. The islands are no longer designed to intercept the water in the drainages. The original
plan did not take into account the severe flows experience in the drainages during a 100
year event. the islands now only accept sheet flow from directly above each island. When
the islands are seeded, there will be a tackifier or mulching to help hold the soil until the
vegetation takes hold.
7. The Craig Ranch Pit will only be able to consume as much water is legally available to
them through the lease agreement that was included in the application. After the water
court rules on the application to change the use of the water from the McCurther Pond,
we will have a fixed acre -feet of water that is available to the Craig Ranch Pit. Any
additional water required for the pit will be trucked to the site from a legal source such as
a temporary water purchase from Blue Mesa. This is the plan for water supply if water is
needed prior to the water court decree.
Please give me a call if there are any questions or additional information needed .
Sincerely
Ryan Ellis, Greg Lewicki and Associates
(303) 880 -6690
