Stover & Associates on behalf of CAM -
Colorado, LLC. In my 22- Nov -2010 preliminary review of the original application, I provided a
list of 13 adequacy items. Each of these items is listed here below, along with the (number) used
in your official Preliminary Adequacy Review letter of 30 -Nov -2010. My newer (25- May -2011)
items follow in their original order, and are identified with pink numbers to correlate with the 21-
Jun -2011 Adequacy Review letter to CAM.
My adequacy items have been successfully resolved, with the exception of I (possibly), In,
51 a, 51 c, 51 d (possibly), 51 i, and 116g.
Rule 2.04.6 Geology Description
1(6) Item resolved with CAM's April 2011 response.
Rule 2.05.3(3) Mine Facilities
2(46) Item resolved with CAM's April 2011 response.
3(51) The plan and profile of the proposed rail loop is provided on Map 21; there is very little
other information presented within the application. Based on communication with Ms.
Stover- Bishop, Union Pacific railroad has its own detailed requirements governing the
construction of embankments. Please provide a summary of those requirements for
inclusion within the permit text. Otherwise, the Division will need to require that the
embankments be constructed in accordance with the Rules for roads and embankments.
Page 2.05 -9 was revised with CAM's April 2011 response, but the Union Pacific rail line
specifications incorporated into the application as Exhibit 16 were incomplete.
A complete set of rail line specifications was provided with the CAM's July 2011
response. Item resolved.
Office of Office of
Mined Land Reclamation Denver • Grand Junction • Durango Active and Inactive Mines
