All review and comment <br />periods as provided in the Colorado Surface Mining Reclamation Act and the Rules initiate from this date of filing. <br />Seneca Coal Company, LLC proposes to continue Surface coal mining and/or reclamation operations on land located <br />approximately 9 miles Southeast of Hayden, Colorado. The permit area is further described as follows: <br />T5N, R87W; Portion of Sections 1 and 12 <br />T5N, R86W: Portion of Sections 6 and 7 <br />T5N, R86W; Portions of Sections 6 and 7 <br />STATE OF COLORADO <br />The above - mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle map of Milner and Mount Harris. <br />CO <br />D I V I S I O N O F <br />RECLAMATION <br />MINING <br />— &— <br />SAF ETY <br />John W. Pineda <br />Director <br />Seneca Coal Company has submitted an application for successive renewal of a valid existing permit to conduct mining and <br />reclamation activities in Colorado. This application does not include extensions of the permit area or any activities within the <br />permit area. No additional disturbance is requested for this permit area. The permit renewal extends the permit term for <br />another 5 years. <br />A copy of the renewal application is available for public inspection at the Hayden Public Library, 201 E. Jefferson Avenue, <br />Hayden, CO 81639 -1813, and at the Division office. For additional information, to provide written comments, or request an <br />informal conference, contact the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety, Room 215, 1313 Sherman Street, Denver, <br />Colorado 80203, (303) 866 -3567, within thirty (30) days after the last public notice in the Steamboat Pilot. <br />Jason D.
