Cheryl Signs, P.E.
Durham Pit, DRMS- 1978 -056
Attachments: Revised Tables 11
Sincerely,
G. Rein, P.E.
ant State Engineer
Page 3
August 3, 2011
waived if you are able to obtain statements from the owners of all wells within 600 feet, verifying that
they have no objection to your use of the proposed well. Should a new well permit be denied for
reasons of 600 foot spacing, or any other legitimate reason, approval of this SWSP may be
cancelled.
3. The total surface area of the groundwater exposed after December 31, 1980 at the Dakolios Pit must
not exceed 3.0 acres, which results in a maximum evaporative annual Toss at the of 7.69 acre -feet.
4. According to the Applicant, the distance from the surface of the exposed ground water area
of the Dakolios Pit to the Saint Vrain Creek was measured based on the down gradient
extent of the exposed ground water surface (nearest point). For purposes of this SWSP, the
method used to measure the distance to estimate the lagged depletions will be accepted,
however any future SWSP must measure the distance from the exposed ground water
surface area to the Saint Vrain Creek based on the centroid of the exposed ground water
surface.
5. Approval of this amended SWSP is for the purposes as stated herein. This office must first approve
any additional uses for the water. Any future additional historical consumptive use credit given (e.g.,
agricultural water transfer) for this site must consider all previous credits given.
6. Adequate accounting of depletions and replacements must be provided to the division engineer in
Greeley ( Div1AccountingCcr.state.co.us) and the water commissioners (George Varga at
Georae.Varra(state.co.us) and (Shera Sumerford at Shera.Sumerford(a.state.co.us) on a monthly
basis or other interval acceptable to both of them. The accounting form provided with your
application is subject to modification and approval by the division engineer. All amounts shall be in
acre -feet.
Please contact loana Comaniciu in Denver at (303) 866 -3581, or Claudia Engelmann in Greeley
at (970) 352 -8712, if you have any questions concerning this approval.
;,7
cc: Claudia Engelmann, Assistant Division Engineer (810 9 Street, Ste. 200, Greeley, CO 80631,
(970) 352 -8712)
George Varra, Water Commissioner District 3 (1400 Hwy 287N, Ft.
