Hickenlooper <br />Governor <br />The Division of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety (Division) received comments from the Western Mining <br />Action Project (WMAP) on behalf of Sheep Mountain Alliance in regards to Cotter Corporation's (Cotter) <br />submittal of an Environmental Protection Plan (EPP) amendment, AM -01 for the C -JD -8 Mine, Permit <br />No. M- 1984 -014. (Copy enclosed) The comments were received on July 26, 2011 prior to dose of <br />business and are considered timely. Per Sheep Mountain's request the letter is considered an objection. <br />The Division is requesting that Cotter review the letter and develop a response to address each of the <br />issues raised. Staff is currently reviewing the amendment and will develop responses to the letter in <br />correlation with its normal process. There are some issues raised that have been flagged in preliminary <br />review by the Division for further discussion.
