OBSERVATIONS <br />The Division's last inspection of the Riprap Quarry Area was August 15, 2006. <br />PERMIT #: M -1981 -085 <br />INSPECTOR'S INITIALS: PSH <br />INSPECTION DATE: July 27, 2011 <br />The Riprap Quarry Area, File No. M- 1981 -085, was inspected by Peter Hays with the Division of Reclamation <br />Mining and Safety (Division) as part of the Division's monitoring inspection program. Mr. Noble Underbrink <br />with Northern Colorado Water Conservancy District was present during the inspection. <br />Financial Warranty: <br />The Division currently holds a financial warranty in the amount of $12,650, which is adequate to reclaim the <br />site based on this inspection. <br />Gen. Compliance With Mine Plan: <br />The mine site consists of a ridge of fractured basalt. Mining the site requires the use of explosives. The site <br />was active during the inspection; processed material was being removed from the site. Mr. Underbrink stated <br />the site was blasted and material was processed to produce 6,000 tons of 6" riprap last year. The stockpile of <br />6" riprap was located on the north end of the pit floor. The highwall was approximately 20 feet high and <br />progressing to the south. <br />Reclamation Success: <br />No reclamation activities have begun at the site. No noxious weeds were noted during the inspection. A <br />topsoil stockpile is located south of the pit floor and east of the access road. <br />Signs and Markers: <br />The mine sign and boundary markers were observed as required by Rule 3.1.12. <br />Storm Water MGT Plan: <br />The stormwater berm along the east side of the pit floor was observed.
