July 19, 2011 C-1980-007/West Elk Mine TAK <br /> sandstone cliff face where West Flatiron Road crosses panel B-21. Details on spalling in this area have been <br /> previously reported in DRMS July 2008,July 2009, and September 2010 inspection reports and in the mine <br /> operator's semi-annual subsidence reports. Significant additional spalling was not apparent during this <br /> inspection, compared to DRMS's September 2010 inspection. A sinkhole of about six-feet diameter that was <br /> noted during the July 2009 and September 2010 inspections has largely filled in with sediment. <br /> SIGNS AND MARKERS—Rule 4.02: <br /> No topsoil stockpiles were found in the bond release area. A knoll on the upslope edge of reclaimed <br /> MDW 16-3 may possibly be topsoil, although it could not definitely be determined.
