A subset of the photos
that were taken is provided in the inspection report.
EXCESS SPOIL and DEVELOPMENT WASTE—Rule 4.09:
No compliance issues were observed at the Horse Gulch Fill area.
HYDROLOGIC BALANCE -Rule 4.05:
The photographs showed no signs of significant erosion other than the channel near the Middle Flume ponds
(downstream of culver AE10 on the North AE Road). This problem has been noted in other inspections, and TMI
personnel have planned to repair this.
Pond embankments appeared stable, and no other compliance issues were noted with the ponds.
In the aerial photographs from March 2011,areas of standing water(in addition to ponds)were observed. These
are expected during spring runoff and were less prevalent in the July photographs.
GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLANCE:
Trapper Mine continues the earth-moving activities in the F Pit,the K Strike Pit,and the K Ridge. No compliance
issues were noted in the aerial photographs and the mine appears to be operating as permitted. No observations of
the aerial photographs warrant an on-the-ground inspection.
ROADS—Rule 4.03:
The LOM Road, the roads to the Ash Pit,the Middle Z Road, the roads into F Pit,the K1 Road, and the North AE
Road were observed, and all appeared to be stable with no observed compliance issues. All access roads and light-
use roads identified in the aerial photographs appeared to be well maintained and stable with no signs of damage
and no compliance issues noted.
Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 1
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 1
Page 2 of 9
