RE: Updated Augmentation Water Lease for Weld County (January 2011 - March 2012)
Dear Mr. Bauer,
The City of Greeley is in receipt of Weld County's updated augmentation water requirement schedule for 2011
dated April 1, 2011. Greeley is able to meet the additional 41.0 acre-feet request for the Geisert Pit. As a reminder the
agreement between Weld County and the City of Greeley paragraph 1.6 states `By December 1 of each calendar year
following execution of this Agreement, County shall submit a 12 -month schedule to Greeley specifying anticipated
monthly Water delivery requirements for the following calendar year." By Greeley accepting the April 1, 2011, schedule
Greeley is not relinquishing the requirements of the agreement.
The request totals 271.0 acre-feet for replacements from January 2011 through March 2012, as shown below.
Augmentation water shall be available per the following schedule provided to the City of Greeley by Clear Water
Solutions, Inc.
{Amounts for these months have already been included in the May 28, 2010 Updated Augmentation Lease Letter
Per the perpetual lease agreement, Greeley shall adjust the delivery fee annually beginning with deliveries in the
2006 calendar year. Using the Consumer Price Index ( "CPI") for the Denver/Boulder area, the decrease to be applied this
year is 1.3 %. This results in a delivery charge of $73.03 per acre -foot, or a $0.94 /acre -foot decrease from last year. A
payment for the initial 230.04 acre -feet in the amount of $16,799.82 was received by Greeley. A payment of $2,994.23
for the 41.0 acre -feet is due June 30, 2010. Please follow payment instructions on the attached invoice.
Please be aware that it is Weld County's responsibility to receive necessary approval to use the leased
augmentation supplies provided by Greeley.
