Examination of the contents of file M -1978 -052 indicates that the operator apparently
has not yet provided this information. The evidence of State Engineer approval of the liners
must be provided before release can be approved.
Additionally, the operator is reminded that in that same report the inspector noted occurrences of
noxious weeds, specifically Russian Olive and Kochia. The inspector also noted that
revegetation had yet to be completed at the site. Please be advised that if the weed infestations
have not been mitigated by the time of the release inspection, and if the revegetation has not been
established to the criteria specified in the site Reclamation Plan and to Division requirements,
then the Division will be unable to release the site.
Thank you for your cooperation in this matter. You may call me with questions at 303 - 866 -3567
x8108.
Sincerely,
David Bird
Division of Reclamation, Mining, & Safety
Office of
Mined Land Reclamation
STATE OF COLORADO
ob2
COLORADO
D I V I S I O N O F
RECLAMATION
MINING
— &—
SAFETY
John W.
