Slope contouring was performed using various
CAT dozers, various CAT excavators and a CAT skid steer. Wet material was pushed up slope
and spread out to dry. A CAT smooth drum roller was used to compact finished slopes.
C) Cut to Fill
1) VLF
A John Deere 200 excavator was used to excavate material from between stations A54 +00 ( +/-
) and A56 +00 ( + / -). The material was loaded into 40 ton articulating haul trucks and used to
assist with slope contouring between stations E18 +00 ( + / -) and E22 +00 ( + / -), approximately 0
to 75 feet right of centerline.
VLF Weekly Report WE 08.21.10.D.docx
