Snowcap Coal Company, P.O. Box 1430, Palisade, CO, 81526, has submitted a complete application for a technical revision to the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety for its Roadside North and South Portals, mining permit No. C -81 -041. The proposed revision decreases the permit boundary and revises exhibits and tables throughout the permit. The purpose of the revision is to change the permit boundary to reflect bond release approvals granted by the Division from 2009 through 2011, which will reduce the permit area from 3016 acres to 2786 acres. This revision will also change the hydrologic monitoring and the North Decline reclamation plans. The Roadside mines are located approximately three miles northeast of Palisade, CO at the Interstate 70, Cameo Exit No.46. The permit area is split east and west by the Colorado River and 1 -70, and is encompassed within the following lands: T10S, R98W., 6 P.M.: T11 S, R98W., 6 P.M.: T11 S, R97W., 6 P.M.: Public Notice Sections 26, 27, 28, 34, 35 Sections 1, 2, 11, 12, 13 Section 7 The location of these sections is contained within the U.S. Geological Survey 7.5 minute Cameo and Palisade Quadrangle maps. A copy of the technical revision application is available for public inspection at the Mesa County Clerk and Recorder's office, 544 Rood, Grand Junction, CO.
