Snowcap Coal Company, P.O. Box 1430, Palisade, CO, 81526, has submitted a complete <br />application for a technical revision to the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety for its <br />Roadside North and South Portals, mining permit No. C -81 -041. The proposed revision <br />decreases the permit boundary and revises exhibits and tables throughout the permit. The <br />purpose of the revision is to change the permit boundary to reflect bond release approvals <br />granted by the Division from 2009 through 2011, which will reduce the permit area from <br />3016 acres to 2786 acres. This revision will also change the hydrologic monitoring and the <br />North Decline reclamation plans. <br />The Roadside mines are located approximately three miles northeast of Palisade, CO at <br />the Interstate 70, Cameo Exit No.46. The permit area is split east and west by the <br />Colorado River and 1 -70, and is encompassed within the following lands: <br />T10S, R98W., 6 P.M.: <br />T11 S, R98W., 6 P.M.: <br />T11 S, R97W., 6 P.M.: <br />Public Notice <br />Sections 26, 27, 28, 34, 35 <br />Sections 1, 2, 11, 12, 13 <br />Section 7 <br />The location of these sections is contained within the U.S. Geological Survey 7.5 minute <br />Cameo and Palisade Quadrangle maps. <br />A copy of the technical revision application is available for public inspection at the Mesa <br />County Clerk and Recorder's office, 544 Rood, Grand Junction, CO. A copy of the <br />approved permit application document, as well as the technical revision application, are <br />available at the Denver and Grand Junction offices of the Division of Reclamation, Mining <br />and Safety [Room 215, 1313 Sherman St., Denver, CO 80203, (303) 866 -3567; and 101 <br />South 3` Suite 301, Grand Junction, CO 81501, (970) 243-1571]. Written comments <br />regarding this application may be submitted to and additional information may be obtained <br />from the Denver office of the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety. Written comments must be received by <br />the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety within 10 days after the date of this <br />publication in order to be considered. <br />
