as the ripped sandstone channels that they feed but will be constructed out of grouted rip
rap or gravel 8 " -18" in diameter for armoring. This is conservative since the transition
zones happen at the top of the individual drainage basins. See the Small Stormwater
Transition Area Channel Figure.
11. Peak flow calculations are included. Channel designs are included with a minimum 1
foot of free board. maximum and minimum slopes are included for the ditch since it is
erodible but only the minimum slope is included for the channels. A individual
manning's n was assumed for each type of structure but only one was used since each
type of structure will be constructed using the consistent material. The maximum flow
depth is shown on each structures figure. The peak flow velocity is shown on each
structures figure. A spillway is not included in the sediment ponds design since they
hold a 100 year event. Three 24 inch culvers are going to be installed under the BLM
road. They will carry 68 cfs which is greater than the 46 cfs that they will see. This is
the equivalent of 1 foot freeboard extra capacity.
Please give me a call if there are any questions or additional information needed .
Sincerely
Ryan Ellis, Greg Lewic7cf and Associates
(303) 880 -6690
