Activities resumed on Wednesday, 7/6/2011. <br />CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES and PROGRESS: <br />I) EARTHWORKS <br />A) Subgrade Preparation <br />1) VLF <br />A CAT 563 vibratory smooth drum compactor was used to compact subgrade between stations <br />H8 +50 ( + / -) and H10 +00 ( + / -), approximately 0 to 250 feet left of centerline. The subgrade <br />surface was moisture conditioned using a tandem axle water truck (when necessary) and <br />compacted with at least 4- passes. Subgrade acceptance was not performed during the shift. <br />Previous subgrade acceptance is shown on Figure 1. <br />B) Slope Contouring <br />1) VLF <br />Slope contouring performed between stations H5 +00 ( + / -) and H11 +00 ( + / -), approximately 0 <br />to 400 feet right of centerline.
