You should see the results on your next
inspection.
I sent the contract for the road work today. When it is signed we will mobilize and be on the ground.
Jim
From: Chris Keough fmailto: ckeough @habitatmanagementinc.coml
Sent: Tuesday, July 12, 2011 9:24 PM
To: TARAZOFF, JAMES A
Subject: Edna Progress- Application #2 July 6 -9
Jim,
Thanks,
Chris Keough
Reclamation Specialist/Field Supervisor
Habitat Management, Inc.
(303) 770 -9788 x 105
(303) 264 -4519 Cell
(303) 925 -1838 Fax
14 Inverness Drive East, Suite A -100
Englewood, CO 80112
ckeough ahabitatmanagementinc.com
www.habitatmanaqementinc.com
1
Things seem to be going very well with weed control at Edna. Upon returning to the site last Wednesday, I found that the
majority of whitetop patches treated throughout the Moffat Area on the initial visit have either died or suffered damage
from the herbicide to the point where they will not produce viable seed this year. Most plants are discolored and seed
production halted very early on. Please see my attached photos of a couple of these areas in the event that neighboring
landowners are interested, since they were unable to observe immediate results at the inspection (please note that we
have sprayed the live patch pictured one of these photos- it was new growth and I thought it would be good for
comparison as it is right next to a dead patch).
All areas of concern that were identified by Janet Binns of DRMS were treated over the course of the second visit.
Perennial pepperweed and houndstongue in the vicinity of the Moffat pond were looking severely damaged if not
altogether dead by the time we left the site on Sunday. All remaining patches of whitetop within the bond area, in
particular those identified on the West Ridge terraces, were treated during the second visit. Much of this work took place
on the West Ridge, and the first treatments appeared to be taking effect by the time we left the site.
I will prepare my full report as soon as possible, but this may not be until the first couple weeks of August due to current
scheduling constraints. I will keep you posted on my progress. Please let me know if any questions or concerns arise.
