This
location is shown on the attached facilities map for your perusal. The guard shed facility will
consist of a small 10 ft x 10 ft x 9 ft tall Sunset Building (similar to a "Tuff Shed ") that will
initially house a CC &V employee whose job will be to monitor traffic crossing the haul road to
access the American Eagles view - point. There will also be a small propane tank for heating the
guard shed, a portable toilet, and a pull -off for the public to take photos of the mining equipment
on the haul road. This facility will initially be manned ten hours per day, and potentially will be
manned 24/7 by a security contractor should conditions warrant (i.e., high traffic load or security
issues). Eventually, CC &V would like to make this a more permanent facility, but this letter
addresses only the immediate plans for a temporary guard shed. Please contact me at (719) -689-
4056 should you have questions or wish to further discuss this temporary guard shed.
Sincerely,
Michael D.
