results recorded in the field data sheet. Lambert recorded sample SS-32 to have 32% gravel; soil in
this excavation was sieved and found to have 10% gravel, suggesting that the excavations were not in
identical locations, although they are within 10-15 feet of each other, In addition, EC was found to be
suitable at this location (Table 2), as it was reported to be unsuitable at the previous SS-32 sampline
location. All other sample points had gravel concentrations similar to those reported by Lambert
(Table 3). No boulders (>25 inches) were observed in any soil pit, All field data were recorded on
field data sheets. copies at which arc attached to this letter.
The sample of spoil from 30 inches to the pit bottom (usually 50-60 inches) was obtained For analysis
of boron, pH. and EC by Seryi-Tech Labs, with results recorded on Table 5. No exceedances of
relevant criteria were measured at any sampling location.
Discussion - Soil sampling was condected at locations specified by WFC, Coarse Fragnient
percentages exceeded relevant criteria at sampling points NHSS-240 and NHSS-241, and the average
of the eight coarse fragment percentage samples For Bench 1 Suitable Subsoil exceeded the suitability
criterion. No other results exceeded relevant criteria.
SS-32 was re-sampled for all criteria, as it had previously exceeded rock fragment and 17,C criteria.
The SS-32 sample for lhis investigation was taken sonic distance away from the original SS-32
location, and die soil was Found to pass all criteria (Table 2). All results are summarized in the
attached tables. Field sampling data sheets, chain-of-custody forms, and laboratory analytical data are
attached to this letter. Photographs of sampled locations are available at your request.
Please contact me at C970) 241-4636 if you have any questions on this matter.
