adjacent disturbed areas appeared to be functioning properly. Minimal water flow into Pond SG -1 was
tested for pH; it was measured to have a pH 7.9.
A violation for the exceedance was not issued by DRMS or OSM since the Colorado Water Quality
Control Division regulates CDPS outfalls. DRMS will follow up with WQCD and the operator to see if the
pH exceedance constituted a violation.
The ground and roads were wet from the recent rain fall. The roadside ditches along Sylvester Gulch
Road contained rock -socks and rigid silt fencing which were recently been installed. These sediment and
velocity control measures were functioning properly as evident by the trapped sediment. These areas
will need to be cleaned out as soon as weather permits.
Action Items
DRMS will follow up with Colorado Water Quality Control Division regarding the pH exceedance from
the SG -1 pond.
