The proposed action consists of boring 30 air rotary holes and
is intended to obtain information about historic drill- indicated mineralization and mineral trends. The
proposed drill holes (B1 through C16) are located in Section.32, T43N, R18W, New Mexico Prime
Meridian. The proposed drill sites are located near existing roads. The sites will be accessed from
existing 2 -track roads (10,760 ft) and over —land access (1500 ft). Construction (e.g. physical
disturbance) of new access roads will not occur.
Site and Claim Information
The specific property affected by the proposed action is:
Department of Energy Lease C -SR -12 Sec. 32, T43.N, R18W, NMPM
Starting Date and Duration
Drilling is proposed to start by August 1, 2011. The actual date will depend on permitting,
weather, field conditions and drill rig availability constraints. The actual field drill program duration
should be about 60 days.
Pre - Drilling Surveys
CPP LLC will have a third -party archeological survey conducted of the drill sites and access trails if
requested by the land managers. The archeologist will hold the appropriate licenses to conduct such a
survey. Given the small size of the program, no other pre - drilling surveys such as wildlife, or
endangered species, are planned unless otherwise required. The archeological survey results will be
submitted under a separate cover.
Drilling Information
Thirty holes are proposed for the leased tract. Approximate GPS coordinates (UTM NAD83 Zone 12)
and hole particulars are shown in Table 1. The holes will start in sediments belonging to the Brushy
Basin shale member of the Morrison formation, ending in or just below the Salt Wash Member of the
Morrison Formation.
Appendices Page 2 of 8
