All review and comment periods <br />as provided in the Colorado Surface Mining Reclamation Act and the Rules initiate from this date of filing. <br />Honeywood Coal Company proposes to continue Surface coal mining and/or reclamation operations on land located <br />approximately 3 miles Southeast of Naturita, Colorado. The permit area, covering 757 acres more or less, is further described <br />as follows: <br />Township 46 North, Range 15 West, N.M.P.M. <br />Section 32: E1 /2E1/2 <br />Section 33: W1 /2, Disturbed areas in the S1 /2NW1 /4NE1 /4, SE1 /4NE1 /4, W1 /2NW1 /4SE1 /4 <br />Township 45 North, Range 15 West, N.M.P.M. <br />Section 4: Portions of Lots 3, 4, 5, 6, 11 & 12 <br />Section 5: N1 /2NE1 /4NE1 /4 <br />The above - mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle map of Naturita <br />Honeywood Coal Company has submitted an application for successive renewal of a valid existing permit to conduct mining an <br />d reclamation activities in Colorado. This application does not include extensions of the permit area or any new activity within <br />the permit area. The mine is in permanent cessation and no additional disturbance is requested for the permit area. This Permit <br />Renewal would extend the permit term for another 5 years to February 10, 2017. <br />A copy of the renewal application is available for public inspection at the Montrose County Courthouse Nucla Annex, 300 <br />Main, Nucla, CO 81424, and at the Division office.
