2
4. Exhibit C indicates Rocky Mountain Ranch (Singleton) as the surrounding landowner and
possibly the landowner for the mine site. Previous submittals by the Applicant and the
most recent application package indicated Fairbanks Daily News — Miner, Inc. as the
mine site and surrounding landowner. Please explain this discrepancy and revise all
applicable exhibits.
5. The Mining Plan Map must be prepared and signed by a registered land surveyor,
professional engineer, or other qualified person. The signature block on the submitted
version of Exhibit C was blank. Please submit a signed copy of the map.
6. Please revise Exhibit C to indicated the correct operation name, Fairbanks Pit, instead of
Fairbanks 11 Pit.
7. Rule 6.2.1(e) requires the map to be prepared at a scale that is appropriate to clearly
show all elements that are required to be delineated by the Act and these Rules. The
acceptable range of map scales shall not be larger than 1 inch = 50 feet nor smaller than
1 inch = 660 feet.
The revised version of Exhibit C submitted by the Applicant indicates a scale of 1" = 200',
however it appears the map has been reduced and the scale is no longer accurate.
Please submit a full -sized and scaled version of Exhibit C for Division review.
8. Please provide the type of present vegetation covering the affected lands or indicate if no
vegetation is present due to previous mining activity at the site.
Exhibit F - Reclamation Plan Map (Rule 6.4.6)
The version of Exhibit F — Reclamation Plan Map submitted by the Applicant on July 1, 2011 was
an improvement over the previous map and addressed the requirements of Rule 6.4.6,
however the map still does not comply with the requirements of Rule 6.2. Please revise Exhibit
F to comply with the following requirements:
a. Show the name of Applicant
b. Must be prepared and signed by a registered land surveyor, professional
engineer, or other qualified person
c. Give date prepared
d. Shall be prepared at a scale that is apropriate to clearly show all elements that
are required to be delineated by the Act and these Rules. The acceptable range
of map scales shall not be larger than 1 inch = 50 feet nor smaller than 1 inch =
660 feet. Also, that a map scale, appropriate legend, map title, date and a north
arrow shall be included.
