• <br />ame0 <br />Earth & Environmental <br />III III) Storm Water Management Structures <br />A) Control Structures <br />No work was performed during the week. <br />B) Best Management Practices <br />Best Management Practices are being observed throughout the Phase 5 VLF Project. Storm water <br />controls were maintained throughout the week. Precipitation was not substantial throughout the <br />week. Storm water controls are being observed in the East Cresson Clay Borrow. <br />IV) VLF Geosynthetics <br />A) Geomembrane Installation <br />1) VLF <br />Geomembrane installation within the Phase 5 VLF continued throughout the week, performing <br />deployment, seaming, and repair /QC activities. Geomembrane installation was performed in <br />the area shown in Figure 4. Approximately 11,252 square feet of 100mil LLDPE <br />geomembrane was deployed using a John Deere 200 excavator and a John Deere 544 front -end <br />loader with spreader -bar attachments. Subgrade was inspected and approved by AMEC and <br />Lonestar representatives prior to geomembrane deployment (see Figure 4). Approximately 462 <br />linear feet of seam was fusion welded during deployment using up to one fusion welding <br />machine. Two destructive test samples were marked during fusion seaming. Approximately <br />293 linear feet of seam was extrusion welded during deployment using one extrusion welding <br />machine. Two destructive test samples were marked during extrusion seaming. All destructive <br />sample test results met project specifications. Non - destructive testing was performed for all <br />fusion welded seams. Repairs were performed using the extrusion welding method for all <br />marked defects. Vacuum testing was performed for all extrusion welded seams and repairs. <br />B) Geomembrane Acceptance <br />1) VLF <br />Panels S367 through S389 and S423 through S463 (secondary- 100mil) were inspected by <br />AMEC and Lonestar representatives, accepting the area shown in Figure 5. <br />C) Geomembrane Delivery <br />1) VLF <br />No geomembrane was delivered to site during the week. <br />D) Anchor Trench <br />1) VLF <br />Anchor trench excavation or backfilling were not performed during the week. <br />CQA ACTIVITIES: <br />SUMMARY: <br />The CQA activities performed consisted of observing, documenting and recording the construction <br />activities of the contractor. <br />VLF Weekly Report WE 07.03.10.D <br />
