amec <br />Earth & Environmental <br />• CQA ACTIVITIES: <br />SUMMARY: <br />The CQA activities performed consisted of observing, documenting and recording the construction <br />activities of the contractor. <br />AMEC observed structural fill placement within the Phase 5 VLF fill area. Ambient temperatures were <br />monitored during fill placement. <br />AMEC inspected and approved subgrade prior to SLF placement within the Phase 5 VLF. <br />AMEC observed, performed necessary testing, obtained moisture samples, and assisted in the placement <br />and moisture conditioning of SLF material within the Phase 5 VLF. <br />AMEC inspected and approved subgrade for geomembrane deployment within the Phase 5 VLF. <br />AMEC observed, logged data, and assisted in the installation of geomembrane within the Phase 5 VLF. <br />AMEC inspected and accepted secondary geomembrane within the Phase 5 VLF. <br />AMEC observed construction of the PSSA ore slope. <br />• AMEC observed LVSCF placement within the Phase 5 VLF constantly. <br />AMEC observed the placement of topsoil at the downstream slope of the South Toe Berm. <br />AMEC observed stripping of topsoil at the East Cresson Clay Borrow. <br />AMEC observed, obtained samples, and assisted in the process of SLF material at the East Cresson Clay <br />Borrow. <br />AMEC observed, obtained samples, and assisted in the process of LVSCF at Pad 4. <br />AMEC observed confirmatory drilling and remediation of UG #3012. <br />AMEC observed construction of the Secondary Underdrain. <br />AMEC observed storage and inventoried geomembrane delivered from Polyflex to site. <br />Testing Summary <br />Laboratory testing continued (Particle Size Distribution, Atterberg Limits, Moisture - Density Relations, <br />Specific Gravity, Permeability, and Point Load testing) for sampled materials. <br />VLF Weekly Report WE 06.19.10.D <br />
