Request for underground water right: McCurter Lake Pit Well and Pump Station <br />A. Name of well and permit number: McCurter Lake Pit Well and Pump <br />Station, Well Permit #06774 -F. Applicant will amend the well permit to <br />conform with the uses requested in this Application upon issuance of a <br />decree. <br />B. Legal description of well: The McCurter Lake Pit Well is located in two <br />irregular sections spanning the border between the Ute Principal Meridian <br />and the 6th Principal Meridian. According to the Division of Water <br />Resources' Aquamap service, the McCurter Lake Pit Well is situated <br />within the NE /4 SW /4, SE /4 NW /4, and SE /4 SW /4 of Section 14, <br />Township 2 South, Range 1 East of the Ute P.M., as well as the NE /4 SE /4 <br />and SE /4 SE /4 of Section 28, Township 28 South, Range 99 West of the <br />6 P.M. The approximate center of the McCurter Lake Pit Well is located <br />in the NE /4 SW /4 of Section 14, Township 2 South, Range 1 East of the <br />Ute P.M., at a point 3,754 feet from the east section line and 3,655 feet <br />from the north section line. A map depicting the location of the structure <br />is attached as Exhibit 1. <br />C. Source: Groundwater tributary to the Gunnison River <br />D. Depth of pit well: 16 feet <br />E. Information regarding appropriation: <br />i) Date of appropriation: Excavation of the McCurter Lake Pit Well <br />began on March 1, 2005. <br />ii) How appropriation was initiated: By the planning and constructing <br />the pit. <br />
