TR insert to EXHIBIT C — MINING PLAN
Note: There are 21 pages are replacement pages. Immediately following Exhibit
C — MINING PLAN is the MILLING PLAN. The MILLING PLAN, MILL SITE
section, MILL DESIGN AND CAPACITY section, MILL FEED — RoM ORE
section, MILL CONCENTRATES section, TAILINGS COMPOSITION section,
MILL UTILITIES section, and TAILINGS DISPOSAL section are inserted
between the end of the MINING PLAN and the beginning of the DUST
CONTROL section of the MILLING PLAN.
A more detailed description immediately follows below.
A Lake County Conditional Use Permit for the mine was granted on December 2, 1987. A Copy of this permit is
part of this application. No ore will be processed at the mine site. Processing for mineral extraction will occur at
our mill site located 6.1 miles west of the mine. (See Milling Plan)
MILLING PLAN
The mill site is a separate, stand -alone facility with no mining operations on or immediately adjacent to the facility.
All ore is trucked to the facility and all concentrates are trucked to a smelter. Mill tailings are stored onsite.
Text continues
MILL SITE (Replaces ENVIRONMENTAL CONCERN)
The mill is scheduled to recommence operations in August 2011 and the existing facility, with reconstructed TSF
tailings impoundment dams, has sufficient tailings capacity to operate approximately 4 years at 160st/d (assuming
no tailings backhaul). The life of the mill is constrained by the 110 permit maximum disturbance and a 2 -lift Phase
1 and Phase 2 TSF pond. Further expansion or Phases will require a 112 permit.
Text continues
MILL DESIGN AND CAPACITY (Replacement Section)
The mill is a classic concentration plant design incorporating crushing, grinding, classification, flotation and
filtration circuits that is comprised of vintage equipment. Tails from the operation report to the tailings pond.
Process water is reclaimed for reuse in the process.
Text continues
MILL FEED — RoM ORE (New Section)
The mill receives RoM ore from the Cross Mine in Nederland, CO. Table C -6 presents the ore composition for
individual veins and a composite of all the veins. Table C -7 presents the metal content for the same veins. Table C-
8 and C -9 present the
Text continues
MILL CONCENTRATES (New Section)
The mill product is a single concentrate shipped to a smelter. Table C -10 presents the metal concentrate of the
product based on the Cross Mine ore feed. Mass pull is 11% to the concentrate.
Text continues
M1990 -057 June 6, 2011
