MILL UTILITIES
Electric Power
The mill receives electric power from XCEL Energy. The connected load is about 175 hp (130
kW). The power is delivered by a 38 kV overhead line across the northern portion of the
property, connecting to the northeast corner of the mill building.
Communication
Mill site communications are by cell phone and VOID phones. No land line communications are
proposed. Internet communication is through a satellite internet service.
Sewage Disposal
Sewage disposal uses a septic system located just southeast of the mill. The septic system
services the trailer pad and the change room at the mill. The septic system is a non - discharging
tank with no leach field. Tank pumping is contracted through a local sewage disposal company.
During any construction or repairs that render the septic system inoperable, a chemical toilet will
be rented. The maximum number of employees expected to be in the mill operating crew at any
one time is five.
Water
There are no permitted wells on the property. Process water will be hauled to the property with
contracted haulers. Bottled water will be provided to employees.
Water for domestic and milling needs is purchased from Parkville Water District. No contract is
required. Water is trucked to the site from a local construction water metering station located in
Leadville. The mill requires approximately 8,000- 10,000 gallons of make -up water per day. The
mill maintains 2 -water tanks within the plant, with a combined capacity of 10,600 gallons.
The mill will purchase water from the Parkview Water District until such time that the mill can
legally obtain water from less expensive sources. Parkville Water District's commitment to
provide water is shown in Figure C3.
M1990 -057 June 6, 2011
