RE: Notice of Extended Dates for Formal Board Hearing, Pre - hearing Director
Conference and Recommendation for the Amended Appl cation to
Convert a 110(2) Permit to a 112d -1 Operation (CN-01),
Wildcat Mining Corporation, May Day Idaho Mine Complex, Permit No. M- 1981 -185.
On June 16, 2011, the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (Division or Office) received a
request for extension of the review period for CN -01 from Wildcat Mining Corporation
(Applicant). The Division has approved the requested extension. Therefore, the Formal Board
Hearing, Pre - hearing Conference and the Division's recommendation date for CN -01 have been
rescheduled.
The Formal Board Hearing, previously scheduled for July 13 —14, 2011, has been rescheduled to
the August 10 —11, 2011, meeting of the Mined Land Reclamation Board (Board). The August
10 —11, 2011, Formal Board Hearing will occur at 1313 Sherman Street, Room 318, Denver,
Colorado, beginning at 9:00 a.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter can be considered. During
the hearing the Board will consider the application with objections and may decide to approve,
approve with conditions or deny the application for CN -01.
The Pre - hearing Conference, previously scheduled for June 29, 2011, has been tentatively
rescheduled to occur during the week of July 25, 2011, through July 29, 2011. Notice of the
specific date, time and location of the rescheduled Pre - hearing Conference will be forwarded to
all parties and interested persons as soon as such can be determined. The Pre - hearing
Conference will be held to describe the Division's review process, to explain the rights and
responsibilities of parties, to discuss and resolve issues to the extent possible, to describe the
Board Hearing processes, to propose a list of issues under the Board's jurisdiction, to simplify
that list, and to identify parties.
The Division's deadline for issuing a recommendation on CN -01 has been extended from June
21, 2011, to July 20, 2011. On or before July 20, 2011, the Division will issue its
recommendation to the Board for approval, approval with conditions or denial of the
application for CN -01. Copy of the Division's recommendation will be forwarded to all parties
and interested persons.
