During that inspection an issue of the settling / containment ponds
fencing was noted. The fencing on this area has fallen and needs to be adequately maintained. If
this facility is not going to be used, it needs to be properly decommissioned and reclaimed. Also
noted was the presence of Tamarisk, a noxious woody plant that needs to be treated and / or
removed.
Please advise this office of your plans to take care of these two issues.
If you have any questions, please contact Robert Ernst at 240 -5305. Thank you for your
cooperation.
cc: Travis Marshall, CDRMS
Sincerely yours,
Barbara Sharrow, Manager
Uncompahgre Field Office
TAKE PRIDE'
t NAM ERICA
RECEIVED
✓
JUN 17 2011
GRAND JUNCTION r icLD dttICE
DIVISION OF
RECLAMATION MINING & SAFETY
0,40,0 40,a,ii
