The mine operator's
measurement was 9.2. The attached copy of my inspection report describes the exceedance. I understand the mine
operator notified your office of the exceedance on May 26.
Please let me know the outcome of WQCD's review of the West Elk Mine's exceedance when your review is completed.
Thank you,
Tom Kaldenbach
Environmental Protection Specialist
Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety
1313 Sherman St., Room 215
Denver, CO 80203
Phone (303) 866-3567, ext. 8128
1
